Are the GALACTICOS ready to Shine

With the La Liga kickstarted last week, the eyes of the world were on one team & one team only REAL MADRID.

There is no doubt that any football fan around the world would love to watch five-star players like Kaka’,Ronaldo,Benzema,Raul all in a single team, its basically like a dream team. But we all come to the same question-Are the 5-star galacticos ready to shine?

In the first match we saw glimpses of what lies ahead, mesmerising pin-point,eye of the needle passes from Ricardo Kaka’,the unbelievable pace & strength of CR9,the perfect runs of Benzema,Mr Alonso pulling the strings in midfield with brilliant distribution of play & the undoubted finishing prowess of Raul. But what have we forgotten here?  Yes, the Madrid defence. Though Casillas is one of the worlds finest in goal Madrid have found it difficult time & time again after the retirement of one Fernando Hierro, to find a proper defensive combination that could bring the pride & glory back to the people of Madrid.

Madrid fans may argue that the likes of Pepe’ & Ramos were missing first time around but to be honest the Madrid defence is more or less same as of last term

Kaka’, Ronaldo & Benzema may provide the goals up front but the weak Madrid defence can break in the blink of an eye.

WILL THE GALACTICOS TWINKLE LIKE REAL STARS?

BARCELONA VS SEVILLA – Preview- 22nd April 09

Pep Guardiola (Marca)

Barca coach Pep Guardiola has warned his side to put on an A-grade performance as Barcalona welcome the Rojiblancos to the Nou camp on wednesday night .

Sevilla are entering into the game on the back of successive defeats but Guardiola is well aware of the threat Jimenez’s wounded Outfit posses. Lionel Messi is a major doubt for the game with a stomach problem and a decision on wether he will be playing will be taken just before the match.

In other major team news Sevilla’s goalkeeper Andres Palop is likely to miss out on the clash after failing an appeal on the yellow card he picked up last match.
